We have a deep connection to Thailand through both personal and culinary experiences. Our chef is from Korat Thailand where he was inspired by his grandmother to cook traditional and flavorful dishes at a very young age. My Thai (my wife) Luksanan grew up surrounded by sugar cane and rice with her family business There is a rich cultural backdrop, from the stunning temples and varied landscapes to the warm, communal nature of the people in Thailand. That connection to family, tradition, and the rich tapestry of Thai culture resonates in the food and atmosphere of our restaurant.
The large mural on the wall is of WAT PHRA KAEW -The Grand Palace Bangkok - Emerald Buddha Temple. It serves as a beautiful centerpiece in our restaurant. It is the “grandest” of over 41,000 temples in Thailand. We had a traditional wedding and the warm welcome from her family, friends and the local Thai community—celebrating with over 450 people.
The country of just over 69 million has a landscape of wide open fields, lush forests and over 2000 miles of coastline.
Feel free to ask Luksanan about life, insights, and growing up in Thailand. Feel free top ask me about my experience as a visitor to this amazing country.
Here are some photos that can only give a small taste of what you see.
